The Chevrolet Bolt (not to be confused with the Volt, which is a plug-in) is a very attractive target for buyers who want an EV that doesn’t break the bank for the range it delivers. The Bolt is developed in cooperation with LG who produces the batteries, motor, and drive unit. For a starting price that’s under $40,000 before any sort of government incentives, you get an EPA-tested range of 238 miles from its 60kWh battery. For those that were still waiting to get the standard range Tesla Model 3, this might be a more than adequate replacement for it. There doesn’t seem to be many corners cut as its rumored that GM loses money on each one of these cars.
